A word about the staff

Share some words about those lovely and sweet guys and gals that poured us those real stiff drinks...

I was of the John Caine & Heidi Hanks era --cocktailing saturday nights. And it was an era, I assure you! We held our pinkies high as we did our chardonnay shots, one after the other. With David at the helm, my Saturday nights were filled with love-bug hugs from Peter, quick winks from Sacramento, a few butt grabs from Tom in the kitchen...a twirl or two from Barry... I'll save the rest of the stories for the "wild" section. All I can say is I LOVE THESE GUYS!

My favorite part of the 90's was working for Julie's. I had the boring job of sitting in the office all day, but when "I" got off work... it was HAPPY HOUR! :) I was there in the days of Sid & Arnie . Peter and Barry seemed to be the staples. Tom, Manuel, Chaya, Victor... they made me "Special Chicken" (is what I named it) every night because it was my FAVORITE and it was so damn good, I NEVER got sick of it. It was the only job I have ever had where I would come in at 9am and leave drunk at midnight. ;) (DAMN THAT HAPPY HOUR!) I got so sick of explaining otherwise when customers would ask me if I was the "real Julie" that I just started saying, "Yes. Yes I am." If Julie Ring only knew I was her imposter for all of 1998... I made a lot of really good friends at Julie's. One of which I ended up living with for 4 years. :) These were good times.

Ah...the good ol days at Julie's. Dancing on the bar with the rest of the cocktail staff breaking dishes. We thought we were in Greece...whoops.

Dancing with Nadia. Heidi, David, Peter, Barry, Tom, Tracee....miss our fun, fun, fun.

What ever happened to the photos on the wall.

Cheers, K
